Welcome back everyone ๐๐พ I'm so happy that it's finally March เดฆ്เดฆി ( แต แ แต ) the one thing I am mostly excited about is spring coming up for the next 3 and a half weeks & also how I'm still continuing with my Lenten journey despite how it's so hard to keep up with it ('''– ⌓ –)＝๏ผI always remember to go back & pray to God to give me the disapline of my sacrifice I've made up to Him, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do by surrendering, even though when things are hard & how He loves all of us even & doesn't expect us to be perfect. Plus Lent isn't really about self-improvement, but rather it's about self-dinial & sacrificing yourself & your fleshy-desires to Christ ♱ Today I decided to copy off another gyaru look but this time it's from a different gyaru magazine. The one where I took the inspiration from is ES POSHHH! and it's a summer issue from 2007 ๐ I also chose to clip my hair slightly back with one of my vintage barrettes for me to match my look ( & no I do not know which year or time period it's from, sorry (´･ฯ･`) )

Today I chose to wear this long leg-length dress with a loose turtle neck on (´･ฯ･`) this one is one of the clothing peices I've never worn & styled before, however for this co*de there wasn't anything too extragavent really, but I did like how I styled it since I already had one golden & silver-mixed jewerly (˶• แด •˵) the only thing I don't like about the dress is how long the sleeves are, so I decided to roll them back หแตห one thing I've learnt is that having simple looks can evelate your look, it doesn't have to be boring, but it an always look better you make it as cohesive & modest, even when I'm in gal (˶◜แต◝˶) I even wore fleece brown tights with this since it's still the season of winter, I don't own any thermal tights, however the lining does it's job by keeping my legs warm, so that's a good thing ๐
Ok so anyways, I've been recently been listening to this old country song from the late 1920's & the name of the song is called 'Wildwood Flower' from the Carter Family, based on how heartbreaking & how beautiful the song is it's now one of my faveourite vintage songs ⁽หแตห⁾ I'm not really much of an expertise of music, but I am going to connect the whole song itself to scripture from the Bible & also how it reflects on today's world (˶• แด •˵) the song itself isn't bibicial, but rather it's a folk song on it's own that I want to discuss though scripture though it's lyrics by breaking it down by chunks. So first, the first part of the song says:
"Oh, I'll twine with my mingles and raven black hair
With the roses so red and the lilies so fair
And the myrtles so bright with the emerald dew
The pale and the leader and eyes look like blue"
Now verses such as Song of Songs 2:1-2 & Isaiah 40:6-8 talks about this in context about human beauty in depth though this part of the lyrics. The thing is however beauty on itself and temorary and doesn't last forever but for a short period of time & true long (not infactuation) would florish. Song of Songs 2:1-2 talks about there is a bridegroom & the bride admiring each other and how the woman who is the bride refers to herself as a lily while the bridegroom is telling her how she stood out as a lily out of all flowers. An example would be how a boy would always talk to the girl constantly admiring how beauty & how he mentions how she is apart from the other girls, however overtime she is going to question her own God-given beauty & start to feel she isn't special anymore once the boy left her. Isaiah 40:6-8 talks about how God explains to the people in Isreal how all the things that they have, such as beauty, youth, & affection, would eventually fade. Why so? Because all of these things won't last long forever & are just temporary feelings that only gives us instant gratification. However God's Word & truth alone is everlasting, and would never fade ever. Another example based from this scripture talks about how someone is being vainglory based on getting validation by being liked and getting compliments from others, even towards the person who he or she likes. Now all of those things are a risk altogether because of how vainity on it's own does replace what is everlasting which are the things from God. It even does reflect on today's world too unfortunatly because of how human beings always look at the person to see how pretty or handsome they are which there are 0 problems with, however there is more to the person than their beauty alone which is what this part of this song lyrics is talking about here. The whole point of those 2 scriptures of how it's making it clear that true love flourishes & how beauty on it's own would fade eventually & won't be there any longer.

Verses such as Ecclesiastes 3:4-5 & Proverbs 31:30 talks about this part of this lyrics though the depth of trial & error by seasons of life & once again- human beauty & attraction (& yes I did picked out a Proverbs 31 verse (>แด•) !) Those 2 scriptures are talking about here how charm is deceptiive & how every season & emtion you've experince in your life doesn't last forever as you seem. Ecclesaistes 3:4-5 worded this very well how in life, there is going to be times when we feel sad, angry, dissapointed, etc. And the reason to this is because of how life moves by seasons though trial and error by emotions & from things that happens in our life. An example wouild be how a girl would feel joyful when a guy chooses to date her, but then once the guy breaks up & leaves her, then suddently she begans to experince emotions such as confusion, anger, and of course- sadness. This verse isn't saying this is negative, but rather it's telling us how experiencing those seasons are normal because of how God uses those times not only to test us, but also to shape us spiritually, not matter if it's a romantic relationship or not. Proverbs 31:30 explians though context is warning us about how a person's charm can be deceptive at times. If your familiar of the words 'looks can be decieveing,' you'll know exactly where I am coming from. The verse isn't comdemning charming altogether as in charming people is wrong, but it is warning us about how if we only use charm soley on our values, then this is where things become downhill & would become unstable overtime or quickly as it seems. And once again, it also warns us about how physical beauty is always temporary similiar to what Isasiah 40:6-8 already had mentioned. Another example of this would be how a girl would get use to male validation, however once it stops overtime she began to question herself of her own self-worth. The same thing can apply to a guy too as well. The point of those 2 verses of what their talking about is that life has it's own seasons that are temorary & how we can't build our own feelings on something that is seasonal.

Verses like Jeremiah 17:5 & Isaiah 44:9-10 mentions about in this part of the lyrics how we can't turn human feelings & hearts into idoltary & how we can't allow ourselves to rely on human beings hearts. Jeremiah 17:5 talks about in particular how the prophet Jeremiah is warning everyone in Isreal not to be dependant on human leaders, but rather on God entirely. Because what ends up happening is when we put our trust in human beings who are fragile of our own comfort & security, eventually that's where we become dry spritually. This part of the lyrics of the song mentions about how the woman is completely dependant on a guy she loves based though his promises, devotions, etc. But once that guys leaves her, guess what? Everything just all collapsed and overtime thats where she becomes spiritually dry. The verse on it's own talks points out how if your roots are deep and you grieve, they won't collapse, however that's the thing with someone who is in a relationship who is dependant to someone in a unhealthy level cuz what it does is the opposite of what this scripture is saying. Isasiah 44:9-10 talks about how we made idols wich replaces God to look 'powerful' but really they aren't when they start to fall apart. The verse talks about this scarcastically how the people are actively worshipping a false god of using the wood they have to partically eat it and to carve it. Hm, does sound familiar? An example I would provide to here is how human beings ourselves are inconsistent each time if we make them as their emotional stability & our own validation, and this does sadly apply when we look up to celeberties & all those other people in our lives such as our partners. The example just proves here how overtime this becomes idoltary though beauty & overall- vainity. the reality about beauty is that it changes quickly and ages & also how the attention to it won't be focused on that thing anymore. That is why the whole point of those 2 contexts of those verses are we can't replace human feelings & hearts into God's sized-role into our lives & how we can't always root ourselves into fragile human hearts.

Ok now this one is a big and a important one for everyone who's reading to know. Scripture such as Malachi 2:14, Matthew 26:56, & Psalm 55:12-14 mentions about how promise, betrayal, covenant, and yes of course- abandonment. All of these verses does have it's own meaning to this part of this lyrics, so bear with me ^^; Malachi 2:14 talks about marriage as a covenant & how God is confronting the men who casually divorced their own wives to remarry other women. When a couple marry and exchange their own vows, God sees it all and takes it seriously as a life-long commitment, which is why Christianity has always taken marriage seriously & not something as casual like a friendship as the secular world thinks of it as. It's not any different in today's world since divorce rates are sadly high every single time & how hookup culture had ruined & distorted its whole meaning behind marriage, or how in a romantic relationship how a guy promises to marry her or whatnot but then disappears by divorcing or breaking up with her for another woman. Psalm 55: 12-14 talks about how King David is experiencing betrayal based on someone he knows who he is close with, though sadness, pain, and confusion. This isn't any different either because no matter what kind of relationship we had with someone (romantic or not), we did all expereince someone who we love and trust hurt us sometime in our lives intentionally or not. This psalm verse on its own does sound poetic itself and it also proves how the people we trust sometimes hurts us more. And the last part which is verse 14 mentions reminds us how we should turn back to God for comfort once after we've experincing the feelings of betrayal because He is the one who we should be going to when experiencing those things. An example would be how you trust someone your own personal stuff that is going on in your lives & your own emotions, but then what happens when that person ghosts you? You obviously start to feel confused & deeply hurt because they didn't given you an explination as of why he or she stopped talking to you suddently. Matthew 26:56 mentions about how the time Jesus was arrested in the garden of Gethsamane by a large group of armed soilders from the betrayal of Judas Isacroit, his former desciple before he committed suicide shortly after. And yes- Jesus Himself experienced betrayal & dinial Himself though His own desciples by being sold for several money to be executed & tortured for us as sinners. This is the main verse which did stook out to me despite how our Saviour knew that it's going to happen and how His own apostles had ran off alongside Peter Simon dening Him, & what I've also had learnt is how God always have a plan for us, especially though trial and errors of brtrayal and feelings of hurt. It also does point out how we as human beings mean what we say, but really we don't when things happens by fear, weakness, and lastly- immaturity. One example I can provide is how a boy or a girl would say things like 'I love you.' or.. 'I'll always be with you..' , however when certain things such as family disapproval or conflict and puressure comes in, obviously he or she would start to panicked & began to withdraw from the person who they love. Why? Though feelings of immaturity (in some cases), weakness, & puressure. The whole point of those 3 verses altogether is that love is a covenant & is not something to take lightly, & also how promises & betrayal can happen though the people we love and trust the most. When human beings fail by not keeping promises, God is the one who'll never fail us, panic, or even ghost us. He'll forever would be with us even if times are hard ♡

Verses such as Galatians 1:10, Isaiah 49:15-16, & Hebrews 13:5 talks about this last part of this verse meanifully about how we can't please others to seek validation from others, and also how God would never leave nor forget us when someone else does. I did remember talking about Galatians 1:10 in depth though my own experiences of this scripture from my last post a week ago, however it is important to reflect on how it has a toll on romantic relations in particular. Paul is mentioning about how we can't please human beings who are just as fragile & who sin as us & please God at the same time, because back in the time where He was ministering, people were telling him to change up his message to affrim to the culture or society he was in at the time. Now obviously he did not do that because he mentions that if he constantly pleases others, then he would lose his own grounding of which God has given him. This is what Paul is warning us about people-pleasing as a whole & sadly this is still a thing in a lot (not all!, but some) romantic relationship in the unhealthiest way as you can imagine, & overtime yes!- it's going to turn into an abusive & toxic relationship ovetime because of how a girl or a guy would please the person they love just to seek validation from that person, but not God, and this is where things would began to get murky. Isaiah 49:15-16 talks about how God would never ever leave nor forsaken us based on how Isreal feels abandoned and assumed God had abandoned them, when really He didn't. When someone forgets or leaves about us, God is the one who still remembers and would never forsaken us, and it is just as simple as saying His divinity would always stay and remain the same however human lovers may fade. Hebrews 13:5 mentions something exactly similiar to what Isaiah 49:15-16, the same message is again how God is always staying with you and I whenever someone leave or ghostes us. Both verses are both powerful cuz one talks about presence, and the other talks about rememeberance & identidy. Once verse had God mentioning you will not be left, and the other had Him saying you'll not be forgotten. Both verses have such meaniful messages which hold a lot of value in relationships & this end-part of this song ♡♡♡
This song does have a connection to several saints such as St. Therese of Lisieux (my favourite saint ๐↕️๐ธ๐ท), St. Teresa of Aliva, & St. John of the Cross. If you look though their stories, you'll began to see how this has a connection to the song, but just to put it in a breif term, how these saints represented God's path is how they've all bloomed soley in God's path & how they don't lose their own centers when people abandon or neglected them. That's why I always love St. Therese's saying 'the little way' because of how it not only relfects on the whole meaning of the song itself, but also overall to discernment & to God's plan and not to human validation. And it's very interesting how this observation is being made since a lot of Catholic saints face lots of emotional abandonment- both spritualliy & romantically to some extent, but instead of them moping around, they re-rooted themselves back to God ♡ I just thought of talking about this and connecting to this bibically even though I know it's a folk song, ww. It's so intertesting how the Holy Spirit does sometimes convicted me to talk about things spritiually based though things especially on things that not many people think of much, & it's also so fun & interesting to dig in a lot deeper into the meaning of the song spritually & not just on the surface-level, especially how this song is poetic & heartbreaking แตแตแต
