Shalom! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿพ‍♀️Today was snowing once again which was so pretty ฮฃ(°ใƒญ°) I'm not a winter person at all and the only thing I'll say I like about the season is when the snow comes down from the ground ๐Ÿ˜Œ thank God it wasn't too cold instead it was only -1° (yes, I know it's still cold, but not as harsh as it was last month ago.) I also done another gal look in which I took from a Ranzuki magazine scan. I believe the one where I took the inspo from the Ranzuki scan could be from the mid 00's (2005 or 2006,) my inference is that it could be from one of those years. But nonetheless, that was my today's look since that was my goal I was going for (✿◠แด—◠)

Today's Make

Eye Make

I like how I applied on the metallic-shimmer-y blue eyeshadow mixed with 2 colours & how I done my wing-liner ( ห†๐ƒทห†) .แŸ.แŸ

One thing I've been noticing & discovering is how when I make my own droop, I reguarly use a mixture of grey & black eyeshadow and applying it on to the bottom crease of my eyes, however from the older gyaru makeup tutorials from the past scans I've been seeing the models use a pencil or a kajal eyeliner to do the same exact thing I'm doing. Pretty much the main reason is that most of them have monolid eyes, wherereas for me I have a combination of both round-almond eyes, however I find that super interesting how I've made that observation ( ╹ -╹)? I did recently watched this video of 3 different looks of kajal liner and I wonder how gyarus back then used this to incoperate them in my looks  (╭เฒฐ_•́) if anyone had any idea how they've been able to achieve it please feel free to let me know how they've done it! I would love to learn and know how they've done it back in the Heisei-era  ̂แด—̂

Make Inspo from this Ranzuki scan ♡

Today I styled my own outfit with a Old Navy dress which does have a sillouette of the mid-1960's shiftdress, however the one I've worn has a longer hemline compared to the original/tradtional shiftdresses from the mid-60's.  I worn a black knitted sweater I had for a while in which I've never worn right until now. It did have a open-round neckline which I was concerned about, but later as I've worn it I didn't mind it at all (˶แต” แต• แต”˶) it was cold outside where I was anyways so I decided to wear an outfit which is comfy, simple, & cohesive altogether เซฎ₍˶แต” แต• แต”˶ ₎แƒ I worn black leggings which is worn underneath the dress & black Guess shoes that were second-handed. I didn't want to wear my snow boots to ended up wearing those pair of boots instead. The boots were twice my size since I'm a size 9, but since I've worn socks inside they did fit me pretty well (หŠ•͈ ◡ •͈ห‹)

Today's Co*de

The Guess boots I've worn today ☺it does remind me of what gyarus would wear in the mid-1990's

Last week I've drew a portrait of one of my favourite JP gyarus online (˶แต” แต• แต”˶) ‹๐Ÿน I posted it publicly on my art account and she was shocked & said to me that she'd liked it หŠแต•ห‹ I was so happy during that day that God given me the talents I have for the good & to make someone smile & make their day (´。• ◡ •。`) ♡ if you guys are interested of my art in general, please feel free to follow me & like and share my posts! My Instagram handle is @/miyunpi.ars & I mostly do Catholic-based art & sometimes general artwork as well  ̂แด—̂

My portrait I've done recently of @/viviko___15

Anyways, now I got all the fun stuff out of the way, I want to use this time to discuss about Romans 12:2 & Galatians 1:10- the most powerful & meaningful verses from the Bible which reflects on every Christian life. Something stook out to me from those 2 scriptures & that is how one verse mainly talks about discernmen and the other one talks about faithfulness. So when I took a look at those 2 scriptures, I reflect on how it has the effect in real life & on the digital world. So how does these 2 verses reflect in the modern world? In the verse of Romans 12:2 which is written by Paul, he is explaining how we shouldn't allow culture/society shape and mold our thinking, allowing our values to be controlled by the world, & that it proves what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. Social media too made everything assessible to everyone in a good sense, however it does have a bitter side to this as well. When society calls things that are sinful normal, we cannot be so quick to adopt to those behaviours in which can damage ourselves physically, mentally, and lastly- spiritually. What Paul means by saying that we shouldn't allow culture/society to shape & mold our thinking, that literally means right there that we can't always copy off from the worldly people of what their doing is sinful all because it's trending, cool, or even it'll make us get more liked or popular. Social media isn't a stranger to this as well since it got people copying off from every trend or attitudes in which most of the time is what God condemns. Examples would be how society and the media in general where it normalizes sex before marriage in other words sexual immorality, feminisim, gossip & slander to one another, same-sex relationships & gender-changing being normalized, pornography being praised, abortion being seen as 'women's empowerment,' fame, power, etc. All of those things what social media & society glorifies & because of how these messages & sinful practices is what is being portrayed on social media & in real life, this is what Paul is exactly is warning us about. He saying not to let repitition shape us & re-write our consciences of who we are as children of Christ, cuz what happens overtime is that the enemy uses this to believe in the lies of the world because how overtime what happens is when we consume & keep on hearing those things time and time again, overtime we start to believe in those lies which can result into confusion morally & through our spiritual identidy. An example would be how you came inside a party or gathering & someone puressures you to doing something that is sinful like drinking too much alcohol which leads to the sin of gluttony. Instead of quickly adopting into that idea of comsuming too much, you began discerning of how it damages you spiritually & how this would affect your relationship with God, which lead to you not doing it & walking away from the pure puressure. Cuz what ends up happening when you start to engage in that harmful sinful behaviour, it is going to damage and affect your lationship & God & overtime you began to blindly following the world. What Paul is saying here in this part of this verse is to discern & pause instead of being quick to jump on worldly trends, behaviours, & values. I also want to mention how this applies to moral values as well since society & social media praises wealth, sexual freedom, popularity, etc. Now being holy & popular are NOT the same thing, someone can be popular in their school or workplace or on social media & their spirit isn't holy. When society say things like 'revenge is empowering,' that is what goes againist of what Christ teaches because He taught all of us to forgive one another. The world doesn't teaches any of the morals Chirst has setted for us because they completly reject Him entirely alongside His gospel. The whole point Paul is saying is to allow God to define us what is good and evil & not the world, cuz He is the one who has the final judgement on the rules based on what is stated bibically & what the Church teaches. The last things it's mentioned on Romans 12:2 is to be transformed by the renewing of your mind & that you may prove what is good, acceptable, & & the perfect will of God. After your soul is shedding away your old-self & being replenished with a new version of you, you start to replace the worldy-thinking from society & your ego with God's Word though prayer & scripture which I find the most beautiful thing of what happens after you accept Christ into your life. Cuz when you accept Jesus and no longer belong to the world, your no longer are easily influence by the lies & deciet thbe worlds try to push on us. Overtime you get to experience true joy and happiness from God that is everlasting instead of instant pleasures of what the world provides. Now that is one thing I find beautiful of this verse cuz it explains everything in depth morally & spritually in our lives & I feel like that's what every Christian should look up & read through. Cuz the whole message of this verse is to have our minds and souls be transformed & renewed to God's truth and stop allowing the world to mold  & shape our minds with temporarly pleasures that don't bring full joy & peace of what God's provides.

Another verse which is Galatians 1:10 talks about how we shouldn't have our goals of pleasing others but instead we should be pleasing God alone. Now for me personally, I struggled with people-pleasing myself & I'm still slowly recovering from it because I use to constantly worry a lot of people would not like me or they'll ignore what I have to say. I would always do things to keep myself being liked by everyone by staying silent & overall abandoning God altogether out of my life slowly overtime. Ever since I've returned back to God, I've stopped caring about what others have to say or think about me & didn't allow it to affect my reltionship with Christ. From before back then I was scared of people getting upset at me by stop talking to me or unfollowing me on social media, & it got to the point I began to be more unhappier in my life because I always please human beings who are sinners like me but not God. Now that I allowed Christ entered into my life, I didn't care anymore if people left me by stop hanging out with me or blocking or unfollowing me on social media, after I let Christ renew my soul & in my life I stopped caring what others have to say & think about me based on what I believe in & what lifestyle & path I took. Cuz at the end, the things I now do I use to please God and not from the world, because what's from Him matters because I now put Him as my top priority every single day before anything else. And if someone tried to double down me all because I don't do things in which people from the world does, I'm always am going to discern always & not shrink myself to fit in with the crowd, because overall this is what Paul is talking aboutt in this verse & I'm always am going to please God though obedience, love, & faith. The whole point this verse is saying is that you can't live for the world of pleasing others & live fully in Christ at the same time, it's about how our desires & decisions we make result for either God's approval or from the world. Now I don't want to say the gospel to come off as negative as some people would think, rather this is said for others (including me myself) out of love & compassion & out of truth who needed to be told this, because eventually this can eventually change someone's life & I'm confindent the Holy Spirit is there to allow other people to come back to Him

With all that being said, thank you so much for reading my current blog post & I'll see you guys on the next one ใƒพ(^ ∇ ^). farewell & have a blessed day everyone!!

๐“† ๐“†Ÿ ๐“†ž

Hello everyone !!! /แ  .แ†บ. แŸ\๏พ‰ today it gotten a bit warmer than a couple of weeks prior ( ◡ ◡  ♪ )  。 praise God that the temprature has gotten into -3° & throughtout the whole week it is cold but not as artic cold as it was last month & from couple of weeks of this month. I even tried out a inspired look from  a mid-00's EGG magazine scan & I did do a smokey-eye look since that's where I was going for for my today's look (◡ ‿ ◡ .)  I would say this is the kind of makeup in my opinion I think I would only wear w/ top spiky-manga lashes, but since I don't own any lash glue, I'm going to have to do this look again with it later on in the future (˵ •̀ แด— •́ ˵ ) ✧ it's a good thing I am investing my money right now and didn't spend it on anything since this is what I would need for my gyaru makeup (even tho you do not need it if your doing gal makeup in the early 90's-mid to late 00's, depending on what kind of makeup your doing from era.) The point I'm making here is that I would definetly try this look again with & w/o falsies (.◜◡◝)

Today's Make ♡

Today's Eye Make ♡♡

I've applied on a mix of grey & a bit of black eyeshadow & apply it on my top crease

Make Inspo from this EGG model Chisato Oikawa แœŠ( ' ⩊ '๐–ฆน)แœŠ I like this look from her ◝(แต”แต•แต”)◜

Today since the weather got a bit nicer, I decided to wear my my striped-knitted black & white dress ever since I was planning out my outfit for my other H&M dress I have that has thinner stripes than the one I was wearing. It even does match & gives vibes of 2006-2007 EGG & Koakuma Ageha, I could be wrong on that one but that's how I felt when I coordinated this co*de with the larg black sunglasses I had on ( ˘͈ แต• ˘͈♡) I can see one of my gal  muturals pulling this look off, www ๊‰‚(˵˃ แ—œ ˂˵) now keep in mind that dress I wore for today's co*de isn't from H&M, it was from a brand name Selection or something like that, I'm not sure ╮ (. ❛ แด— ❛.) ╭

Today's co*de ♡♡

Once after the mass was over, I decide to take these 2 small old prayer cards off from the table where there are free old things the church keeps for a while before it is time to give it up to other people. I was so scared cuz I wasn't sure if they were free or not, but the lady who was setting them there told me in which they were ฮต-(´・`) ๏พŒ overall the prayerf cards look even pretty & they were even printed & laminated from Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น one of them is the St. Jude prayer, an early martyr & apostle, & the other is another prayer for those who live alone (˶แต” แต• แต”˶)

Prayer cards ♡♡

Ok, so I want to use this time to talk about these 2 verses of Matthew 6:1 & 6:6 in which does reflect on this digital age of social media. So when I was looking at those 2 verses from the Bible not long ago, I was thinking of how social media made us think that everything in which we have to do is a performance & not out of authenticity & how something like silence & prayer which is a 1-on-1 ritual with the person & God now has to be up on  the public for everyone to see. Now I know I am alredady aware that there a re some people who do this are doing this for good faith/intentions however that is not for me to have that authority to judge, but when it gets to the point where it's gets performative & disingenuous, then thats where things start to get weird. I remember the other day a while ago I was watching this video from this Christian podcaster & she was talking about the same exact thing which I am talking about here based on those 2 scriptures. It's not only happening in Chirstian spaces, but unsurprigly it's been always happening in the secular world as well. Social media distorted the view of what is authentic & what is fake to the point no one can tell the difference anymore, & it does have the affect on me as well to some point in time. The reality about social media is it that it doesn't care about authenticity, rather, it only reacts to engangement & performance though likes, numbers, shares, etc, whenever if it's good or bad. Jesus Himself warned his own disciples & us now about this kind of behaviour when we only do good things for attention and praise, He didn't say to us not to share our faith publicly & perform good works to others in public, He telling us directly not to make the audience our own reward but rather let Him be our reward of eternal salvation. Social media also too condictioned us that everything has to be posted when something happens to us or how we always feel the need to display our opinions, when really that is NOT what Christ calls us to do, which is exactly why He said in His own words 'Let your light shine.' The thing that everyone needs to understand that not everything that happens in our lives we need to post on the internet, & overtime this would cause our faith to be filtered & how something like faith isn't something that is sacred anymore, but rather it's now seen as a attention-grab. Now I'm not here to say this to sound more supriror/make myself look better than others or saying not to share your faith publicly, but when it gets to the point where we make people as our audience or a performance & not doing for the glory of God, that is where things began to get murky (& I don't mean that in a good way spiritually btw.) Some people on social media would take scripture out of context intentionally or water it down to people's liking to get engangement on their platform to get enough likes or a following, or they turned their faith as an aesthetic or a brand to sell. Now again, I know that isn't the case for everyone, but overtime I do see the repetitive pattern & this is what Jesus Himself is warning us & directly talking about through those 2 scriptures. A lot of saints didn't do good works for human approval or validation, but rather they did it for God's approval cuz they knew that overtime God is going to reward them eternal salvation trough eternal life. The whole point I am talking about here is not everything that happens we should be quick to share on social media, there is nothing wrong however sharing your own testimony or faith to the general public, but we must be very mindful not to do it for human approval or validation (both social media or not) but rather God's approval, because what's from Him matters & not the world's , hence why I made this apart of my Lenten journey to spend less & less time on SNS each day for the next 40 days. And even as someone who doesn't care about being popular & getting the most likes. followers, & views on my social media, I feel like too this is also important for people to hear evevn if you have a low-profile like I do. Because when the world is screaming loudness & attention outside, God Himself is drawing Himself closer to you & wants us to be completly detached from the background noise of this secular world. This isn't me saying this to feel as prideful of myself, but rather I am saying this to myself & for other people who actually needed to be told this.

Anyways, with all that being out of the way, thank you so much for those who read the whole blog post & I'll see you guys on the next one (˶แต”แ—œแต”˶)๏พ‰๏พž farewell & have a blessed day everyone !!!

Hi again beautiful people ╰(❛∀❛ ) today unfortunatly is another cold day ⛇☃︎ yesterday was a bit nicer however today was feeling like -33° outside. Of cource I would never let the temprature stop me from being stylish as it would for most people, so I did of cource did what I should already done and glam myself up (˘ ˘ ˘) I remember someone telling me there was no such thing as winter fashion but guess what?!- they were wrong, hahaha! เซฎ꒰ ห‰͈̀꒳ห‰͈́꒱แƒ

Today I done a look from a different mgazine issue from Ranzuki, except I dont really know & remember which year & which season I've took my makeup inspiration from. I actually liked how it turned out overall and it looked COMPLETELY identical to the model on the scan ห†꒳ห† looking at it now I feel this is the kind of gyaru makeup that actually suits my eye shape & overall my features, despite how I find it super simple & I don't have to put on top and bottom lashes (which I've haven't done for a while but one day I will •แด—• ) This is exactly why it's super important to experiment on your makeup cuz you don't know which looks wouldn't & would work best on you depending on which eyeshape & facial structure you have, even when it comes to gyaru makeup itself. Point is, I'm super duper thankful to God that I finally did find a makeup routine & tutorial that works the best for me. No, I won't stop trying out different kinds and techniques of gyaru make, but I am thankful that I fugured out this kind of gal makeup is the right one for me ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜„

Today's Make ♡

I love how I done today's eye make ๐Ÿ˜ณ

·͜·♡

This is the make from this Ranzuki scan I've taken the inspo from & what actually suits my own features •แด—• this would definetly be my day to day & go-to gyaru makeup for now on henceforth (˘‿˘)

Today too I decided to do traditional cultural wear because of how it was too cold for me to wear any of my dresses still ๐Ÿ˜ž I wore a blazer once again with dashiki fabric printed on, tights layered with jeans & and a headwrap (mainly because I want to protect my hair from the cold since I undone my hair & also just to help the look to appear cohesive). I did wore my cozy socks (as you guys already knew why) but overall I did like how I achieve today's look w/o it looking incohesive/off ๐Ÿ˜Š

Today's co*de

When I was flipping in some book that I took home with me from the church, I've found this cute & beautiful bookmark of Our Lady on there (˶แต” แต• แต”˶) ‹๐Ÿน There is no way I'll be using it as an ordinary bookmark based on how pretty it looks, ww ๐Ÿ˜† instead I'll be hanging it up with my rest of my photos on my wall alter in my room เดฆ്เดฆി ( แต” แด— แต” )

Oh and by the way for those who aren't aware of the news I've announced, I decided to create a seperate Instagram account where I soley post all of my artwork on there แต”แด—แต” It's mostly is going to be Catholic-based art however I would be posting my other general art on there as well. So if you are insterested of what's on there, feel free to follow and support my account if you can, it would be nice if I have you guys supporting my account ๐Ÿ˜Š My Instagram account handle is @miyunpi.ars, & in case if you are interested if sharing & liking my art with others or giving me a follow (..◜แด—◝..)

Bookmark of Our Lady I've found in a book I was flipping through ♡

Anyways, I want to talk about something that no one or I should say not a lot of people know about, & that is Valentine's Day & how it was based from an actual saint from the early Roman Empire. Since Valentine's Day is coming up for a couple of days, I am here to mumble a bit of a historical biography of who the saint is and how it became a feast day but also a worldy & most commercialized celebration (●'◡'●) St. Valentine is a early century bishop & a priest who was martyred in 270 A.D. Just to keep it brief, he is known for performing secret marriages during the time when Claudius II was ruling over Rome & he prohibited men to be married because of how he believed that men who were single would be better soildiers for the army. So what ended up happening was men who decide to get married & settle down for the woman he loves would go to St. Valentine for the couple to exchange their vows together w/o anyone even knowing besides St. Valentine (& God Himself). Because of this, he ended up getting himself in trouble by the Roman leader which later got him to be beaten & later beheaded inside a jail cell in Via Flaminia in Rome. His partonage is  (obviously) for married couples alongside love in general, & the next time you guys are wondering the origins of Valentine's Day & it's whole meaning, look back to the story of St. Valentine  cuz this gives lots of historical context & how he was of cource serving the Lord though obedience (。ใ‚แด—•) แฏ“แกฃ๐ญฉ

St. Valentine

I also wanted to add in that I got my hair done this evening. I didn't have enough time to complete the hairstyle I wanted, so what happened is that aunt decided to do a couple of cornrows and tie the rest of my hair in the bun (which I actually like how neat and classy it is even though my rest of my hair looks unfinished) (⊙_⊙)

Photo I've taken a day later (today) of my hair

So yeah with all that being said, thank you for taking your time reading my today's post and I'll see you guys on the next one ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿพ bye bye !!
